By its nature, SMI’s activity integrates quality, economic performance, social performance and environmental responsibility

Quality

The company is determined to give its customers exceptional service. We believe that quality is a fundamental principle of business and that quality management forms an integral part of every project. With the aim of satisfying our customers and going beyond their expectations, we pledge to improve our products and services constantly in order to respond to their evolving needs.  The quality of the solutions we offer and implement is one of the elements embedded in our culture and our fundamental values, which are: listening, to discover and understand our customers’ expectations, reactivity and creativity in order to find the most appropriate solutions.

In order to live up to our ambition, we conduct our business with integrity, delivering excellence in the provision of products, performance on traceability, and innovation in the services we offer, to the mutual benefit of our customers, suppliers, staff and shareholders.

To accomplish this we appreciate the importance of ISO 9001. The process is now in place to provide solutions that comply with the contractual commitments undertaken with our customers.

Sustainable Development

SMI health solutions are a response to growing health, safety and social issues. So it seems important to us to consider as a whole the direct or indirect impacts that our activities or those of our partners have on the economy, the environment and populations.

So, the social environment of which we are a sustainable part is not an exterior dimension to our activities and our internal processes: it is the source of our decisions and our orientation for the future. This is why the company is committed to innovative and educational community health programs, notably in Africa. SMI makes full use of its relationships with pharmaceutical laboratories on the one hand, the multinationals operating in the field on the other and finally, the local or international NGOs, who carry out the programs with the local populations.

Awareness amongst the relevant parties may take time, but SMI wants to enable local populations to understand better the risks that surround them and to feel concerned by these problems. In the long term, this type of initiative should limit the incidence of infectious diseases such as malaria.

Furthermore, SMI is committed to a process of continuous improvement regarding the reduction of the environmental impact of its activity. All statistics relative to the company’s performance in this matter are available in the annual business report.
